Tariquet - History
The Domaine du Tariquet was created in 1912 by Helene and Pierre Grassa. This family success was carried on by their children Yves and Maité, and now grandsons Armin and Rémi.
Located in the Gascony region, the Domaine du Tariquet is famous for its Armagnac and has now built a strong reputation over its fantastic white wines too: a constant quality, freshness, fruitiness and a superb personality make up the Tariquet style.
In the eighties, Yves Grassa decided to take the challenge of growing grapes, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon, which were considered not right for the terroir.
Today, his know-how and patience have led to give exciting blends such as Chardonnay-Sauvignon, Chenin-Chardonnay, and even Gros Manseng-Chardonnay-Sauvignon-Semillon, as known as Les 4 Cépages.
Domaine du Tariquet also produces a fabulous range of Armagnac. The grapes of the Domaine border the town of Eauze . capital of Bas-Armagnac . and profit from one of the best location in the Armagnac appellation.
